Photos taken July 2016. These photos were taken along the journey from Vancouver BC to Banff Alberta Canada via the Columbia River Gorge, Thompson River Canyon, Kamloops and the Canadian Rockies. Canada's Via Rail train covers the territory from Vancouver to Kamloops during the night. The only way to see this spectacular scenery in daylight is via the Rocky Mountaineer. Also, since regular train service has been discontinued on the CP line from Kamloops to Banff,the Rocky Mountaineer is the only way to see the spectacular Rocky Mountains on the CP route to Banff.
