Regata de Globos - Balloon Festival. This is a yearly event in Ajijic that is held in a soccer field. All of the balloons are made of paper and use a flame mounted near the base to fill the balloon with hot air and send it skyward. Now and again the balloon will catch fire, burn and fall to the ground. These guys are raising money for some sort of railroad museum or something. The next 42 photos cover the event.
